Being an engineer won’t make you a nerd but an intellectual. I don’t think anything can get as cool as that. Be it problem solving in the work place or at home, knowledge application is natural for an engineer and one starts to perceive things with more logic and reason. It won’t stop you from having your girls’ night out filled with a lot of gossip. Some of my best Friday evenings are spent with my gang of girls and all of them are engineers. You can still go shopping (my weakness) and wear nice clothes (baggy sweatshirt and denims are NOT an engineer’s dress code). Moreover, a career in engineering pays very well, so hey, more shopping
